The IPWA Mentorship Program is a 100% volunteer-run. Each year, women from different backgrounds dedicate their time to help other internationally minded women to pursue their goals.
General information:
- The program lasts 7 months (May to November)
- Each year, approximately 15 mentees are chosen for the program and matched with a mentor.
The program includes:
- Mentor training: All of our mentors receive a training before the program.
- Program kick-off: All mentors and mentees are invited to a program kick-off where they can network and align their expectations for the rest of the year.
- Individual mentor-mentee sessions: Each mentor and mentee are expected to have two sessions per month to work on the goal that the mentee has set for the program.
- Check-ins: The program committee performs individual check-ins to ensure a smooth program experience for all.
- Closing event: End of the year celebration is organized in November as a closing ritual for the program.
Rules of the program:
- Transparency, trust and confidentiality between the mentors and mentees are very important.
- Mentees are expected to be proactive and reach out to to schedule the sessions with their mentors.
- In case of any challenges, the participants are expected to reach out to one of the program committee members for support.
